The decade begins with a reimagined architecture program that is more inclusive. A new curriculum emphasizes collaboration in group projects and the undergraduate BSD in architectural studies now accepts everyone who has a 3.0 grade point average. Professors Spellman and Felipe Mesa’s innovative Orange Build studio, in which students, faculty and professionals collaborate on projects from concept through construction, shifts focus onto projects that address the reality of the post-pandemic environment. The 12-mile Grand Canalscape opens in Phoenix, bringing to reality a concept for canal bank usage long promoted by ASU Architecture.
