The ASU Architecture program flourishes as it becomes accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board, is established as a College, and features visits and workshops with prominent architects like Charles Eames, Frank Lloyd Wright and Paolo Soleri. The 1966 studio class’ conception of the Rio Salado Project sets the standard for future community design and service, and internationally renowned solar energy pioneer John Yellott’s connection with the program begins a decades-long emphasis on solar and thermal energy innovation.
