Arizona's Towns: Planning the Past, Saving the Future

"Arizona's Towns, Planning the Past, Saving the Future," an Arizona State Parks video depicting three charrettes conducted by the Joint Urban Design Program with the support of the Arizona Historical Society, is released. Each of the three-day design charrettes create civic town plans that combine historic preservation with comprehensive planning. The charrettes are held in Winslow in 1997, in Globe in 1998, and in Jerome in 2004.  The Herberger Center for Design Excellence publishes the printed series as "Planning the Past, Saving the Future."
