Bernard Michael Boyle

During his 30 years on the faculty, Michael Boyle focused on the history of architecture, urbanism and landscape architecture. In 1974 he led the newly created Master of Environmental Planning (MEP) program. He has written or edited numerous publications on architecture, including "Architectural Practice in America, 1865–1965: Ideal and Reality," a chapter in Spiro Kostof's comprehensive history of the architectural profession "The Architect." Boyle is now retired and lives in Phoenix.
