Catherine Spellman

As a professor and registered architect, Catherine Spellman has served The Design School in several administrative roles and is currently associate director for faculty. Her research includes numerous public place-making projects. She is currently co-leading the establishment of the design-build program, Orange Build. She has received  several teaching awards including the AIA Arizona Educator Award and was faculty mentor for the first-place team in the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Gerald Hines Urban Design Competition. Before ASU she taught at Staatliche Hochschule für Bildende Künste, Frankfurt, Germany and The Bartlett School of Architecture at University College London.
