Council for Design Excellence

The Council for Design Excellence, consisting of invited business, professional and civic leaders, is created as a select advisory group to the dean. Its first officers are President Gary Herberger, Vice President Murray Goodman, Secretary-Treasurer Robert Fratti, and Bernard Deutsch as member at large. Over the next decade the council holds regular public lectures, fundraising dinners with invited speakers, Valentine brunches, and other events encouraging discussion of the built environment in Phoenix.
