Do Something with the River

Rio Salado Project Presentation

Professor Robert McConnell's fifth-year fall studio class conceives the initial concept for the Rio Salado Project after Dean Elmore charges the studio to "Do something with the river." The concept these 26 students propose is a series of channels that would create an inland seaport along with a linear green belt featuring buildings, recreational areas, and other developments alongside the river. The Rio Salado Project sets the standard for ASU Architecture’s future community design and service recommendations.
