The Student Annual Field Trip (SAFT) tradition begins for members of the third-year class, who travel to Los Angeles and San Francisco in alternate years, and in 1967 to Mexico. These trips, first led by Jim Elmore and later by George Christensen, create some of the most significant memories of the program for many alumni.
