Gerald McSheffrey

Gerald McSheffrey, the program’s third dean, served from 1982 to 1985. He developed ASU West's campus and became its first vice president and provost, serving from 1985 to 1988. He then returned to the architecture faculty until his retirement in 1998. He had a successful career in the British Isles before immigrating to the United States in 1976. Prior to joining ASU, he had been director of architecture at the University of Kansas and then dean of the College of Architecture at the Illinois Institute of Technology.
