As a professor and senior sustainability scientist, Harvey Bryan specialized in building technology with a focus on ecologically responsible environments. He carried on Jeffrey Cook’s research in energy efficiency through solar design. He is the recipient of three Progressive Architecture Awards and a Fellow of both the AIA and the American Solar Energy Society. He served on the ASHRAE committee responsible for developing the 90.1-1989 National Energy Standard for energy-efficient design of buildings.
