As an internationally recognized leader in solar energy, Jeffrey Cook established a graduate research program in passive solar architecture and building energy performance. In 1988, he was honored with a lifetime appointment as Regents Professor for his groundbreaking scholarly achievements. An advocate of architectural responsibility through bioclimatic design, he was a prolific author, earning numerous international awards. His private practice demonstrated his advocacy of solar and low-energy cooling. In memoriam, the Regents Professor Jeffrey Cook Fellowship is awarded annually.
