John Meunier

John Meunier, the program’s fourth and longest serving dean, increased its visibility locally and nationally. Under his leadership, the Herberger Center for Design Excellence was established and an interdisciplinary PhD degree was created, among many other organizational improvements. He participated in several design review and economic development boards. His research focused on desert cities and intricacy in design. After stepping down as a dean, he taught for 15 more years before becoming professor emeritus.
