Marcus Whiffen

Marcus Whiffen was an internationally renowned scholar of architectural history. Before coming to Arizona, he was affiliated with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of Texas at Austin and served as the architectural historian at Colonial Williamsburg. His papers are archived in the ASU Library's Design and the Arts Special Collections. In addition to writing his most prominent text, "American Architecture Since 1780: A Guide to the Styles,"  he served as editor of the "Journal of Architectural Education" and editor of "Triglyph: A Southwestern Journal of Architecture and Environmental Design."
