Michael Fifield

During his 11 years at ASU, Michael Fifield directed the master of architecture degree program (1984–1987) and then the Joint Urban Design Program (1992–1995). With three others, he developed an influential and award-winning regional design framework for the Valley of the Sun's metropolitan canals. After ASU, he spent two years as director of the architecture program at Pennsylvania State University and then 23 years as a professor of architecture at the University of Oregon, along with running an award-winning private practice.
