Michael Underhill

Michael  Underhill came to ASU to be the director of the School of Architecture, a position he held from 1989-94. Now a tenured professor, he served as the interim director of the School of Architecture in 2002 and the interim dean of the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts in the 2013–2014 academic year. He has maintained a private architecture practice while working full-time at ASU. His research interests include urban design and planning and architectural design and technology.
