Patricia McIntosh

Pat McIntosh was a pioneer, as the first woman to hold an academic position in the architecture program as well as for her advocacy of the use of computers in architecture, an endeavor that was in its infancy when she arrived at ASU. With the goal of advancing computing in architectural education and practice, she taught in the Master of Environmental Planning program concentration in computer applications and later in the Master of Science concentration in computer-aided design. She held many positions in the national Association for Computer Aided Design in Architecture (ACADIA) and served as its president in the 1987 to 1988 term.
