Rio Salado's 50th Anniversary Celebrated

The Rio Salado Project celebrates its 50th anniversary with a commemoration of James Elmore and the 1966 class who originally conceived the project. At this time, the pedestrian bridge over Tempe Town Lake by the Tempe Center for the Arts is dedicated and named the Elmore Bridge in recognition of Elmore's pivotal role.
