Tom Hahn started as adjunct and then became a full-time assistant professor at ASU in 1998, teaching sustainability and ecologically responsive design. His energy conscious design expertise was demonstrated by his design of a straw bale building for an innovative preschool in the Phoenix area. He also served as project architect for the APS Environmental Showcase Home, which was accomplished in close association with ASU and was one of the first and most technically advanced sustainable residential projects in Phoenix. He went on to teach at Taliesin and the Ecosa Institute and is now a career instructor at the University of Oregon.
