Timothy McGinty

Tim McGinty was an associate professor and assistant dean in charge of the freshman-sophomore program during his 13 years at ASU. Nationally he was involved with the ACSA and was a founding member of the National Conference on the Beginning Design Student, which created an award in his honor to recognize a member for significant contributions to beginning design education. The first McGinty Award was presented to Tim McGinty himself in 2014. In 1996 McGinty left teaching to lead a 10-person firm specializing in retail. He is now retired in Colorado.
